This article is in response to a "morning journal" and its coverage of their arrival and claim that these immigrants are to work on "the Pacific railroad, Brigham Young ... having taken a contract to build a section of the road."<ref>Apparently refers to arrival of the Minnesota on July 12 with 534 passengers and the John Bright on July 13 with 722 passengers.</ref>
