[edit] Reorganization of the Mormon Church
Elder Adams is on his way from Nauvoo to consult with the Mormon Elders of the Eastern States as to the propriety of reorganizing the church. Meantime, it is said Joe Smith left in the hands of his wife an "inspired" document, revealing the name of his successor. This paper was to be opened three days after his death. It is whispered that Mr. Richards is to be the new leader.——N. Y. Sun.
