Spent a good time with the folks. |
Aug. 13th. Wrote a letter to President A. [Albert] Carrington, also to my folks. Returned to New York. Helped the Saints all day. Crossed the river over to Jersey City. Got the people on the cars. The weather very oppressive. We were quite busy all day in the City. Left Jersey about 7 p.m. [p. 7] A heavy storm came on just as we left the spot.
