President. W. H. Smart of the Eastern States Mission, telegraphs President Lorenzo Snow from Hammondsport, Steuben county, New York, that Elder Hiram R. Hamson, of Oxford, Idaho, was accidentally drowned Tuesday while bathing in Kenka Lake. Elder Hamson was born in Brigham City February 3, 1880, was the son of Hirman Hamson and Eliza Collins Beekstead. He was set apart as a missionary to the eastern states July 7, 1897. He held the priesthood of a seventy.
