Walking Tours
The New York LDS Church History Committee gives walking tours of history sites in New York City. At the moment, we have one tour, with several trained guides, that has been prepared and a second that is in preparation.
The currently operating tour covers sites in lower Manhattan. It begins in City Hall Park and winds its way through the original site of Columbia College, Printing House Square, Wall Street and ends up at Old Slip, currently the site where a statue to Joseph Smith stands. All the sites are connected with events in the 1st half of the 19th century (1832-1850).
You can get an idea of the tour by reviewing the walking tour brochure.

The tour in preparation covers 57th street and the LDS presence in that area in the mid 20th century.
