Dear Brother, --

As per your request I will with pleasure endeavor to give a brief report of our voyage thus far - we are now within about one hour of Sandy Hook. …

We arrived in quarantine at six o'clock this morning and were registered at Castle Garden at about ten. The people passed all right, and are now (3 p.m.) on board S. S. "New York" sailing for Norfolk, save Sister Millgate, who had to remain. She will be passed as soon as possible. We are all well and join in kind regards to yourself and your associates at "42."
