Middletown CT Constitution, 23 April 1845.

The Measles.——We learn that this disease has been prevalent in its worst form in some of our neighboring towns. In one family in North Haven, we are informed, in which the parents were afflicted with the Mormon mania, three children were taken down with the disease, but the parents declined employing a physician, relying on the magical effort of Mormon prophylactics. There was a laying on of hands and other incantations by some prophet or prophetess, but the children all died. [New Haven Herald.]
