Mormon Missionaries Displeased
The Rev. Mr. Blossett, missionary at Castle Garden, went among the Mormon immigrants on Thursday to distribute tracts and give religious instruction. He was noticed by the vigilant Mormon missionaries, who entered into a religious dispute with him. Finding themselves worsted in the argument Mr. Blossett says they caught him by the coat and tried to put him out, but were prevented by Chief Clerk Coonan, of the Landing Department.
