Birds of a Feather Flock Together

New York Morning Herald, 23 June 1838, Issue 34, col. D

Birds of a Feather Flock Together—Joe, Smith and Sidney Rigdon, of Mormon notoriety, who decamped from Kirtland (Ohio) in the night, robbing their poor deluded followers of nearly all their possessions, and setting fire to the printing office, against which there were two judgments, are now roving about in Texas under fictitious names.—The public ought to be put on their guard against their principles and their wicked actions. Beware of Parley Pratt, a Mormon, who is preaching in the upper part of this city.
