Arrival of Seven Hundred Mormons

The packet ship William Tapscott arrived yesterday, with 725 Mormons, on their way for Salt Lake City. Over two hundred of them are English, over two hundred Danish, and the balance Scotch, Irish, Welsh, Swiss, Swedish and Norwegians. There were Nineteen weddings on shipboard during the voyage. Most of the emigrants leave here to-day for Utah.—[Eve. Post.

These deluded creatures reached this city Sabbath morning, and were immediately pushed forward by the cars. It is terrible to contemplate the sufferings which await these men and women before they reach their destination, and still more terrible to reflect upon the years of misery they must endure after they shall have found their way to the land of the "Saints."
