During the Meeting of the Commissioners of Emigration

During the meeting of the Commissioners of Emigration yesterday Castle Garden was the scene of considerable bustle, owing to the landing of some nine hundred Mormons from the ship Monarch of the Seas. At the meeting no business of public interest came up. The number of emigrants arrived here for the past week was 968, making the total for the present year, so far, 38,928. The balance of the commutation fund at present is $27,210.99.
