Expects Them to Marry Bishops.[1]
The Guion steamship Wisonsin landed 140 Mormon immigrants yesterday at the Barge Office. They were allowed to land, and started for Utah last evening. Among them was an English family consisting of a man and wife and two pretty girls. Inspector Lee asked the father what would become of his daughters when they reached Utah. He replied that he expected that each of them would marry a Bishop.
Mr. lee intimated that they would be more likely to be wedded to the Prince of Darkness. One of the girls smiled and said she took the same view of her prospects that Mr. Lee did; but neither of them made any protest against going to Utah.
