Baptism a la Mode

River Too Icy, So All Hands Went to a Turkish Bath.

[By Telegraph to The Tribune.]

Trenton, N. J., Feb. 4.—Four Mormon elders attempted to baptize some converts in the Delaware River to-day, but found the water so icy that they lost their nerve.

The manager of a local Turkish bath establishment came to the rescue, however, and offered the use of his pool, which the elders gladly accepted, and the baptism took place, but in lukewarm water.
