Mormans Condemn Tea

Tobacco, Coffee and Rum Tabooed Also by Speakers.

Use of tobacco, tea, coffee, and liquor were condemned yesterday by two leaders of the Mormon Church, speaking at the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints, 273 Gates ave. Abstinence of these things will add six years to life, they told their congregation.

The speakers were Heber J. Grant, president of the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints, and Elder Melvin J. Ballard, one of the council of 12 of the church. The sermon was preached by Elder Ballard and Mr. Grant elaborated later on his subjects.
