Speaker Selected For Dinner

The Troy Club will hold its annual Lincoln Day formal dinner Saturday night for members and guests.

Guest speaker for the occasion will be Blayney J. Barton, popular speaker throughout the Troy Area and director of industrial and public relations of Winthrop-Stearns, Inc., Rensselaer.

The dinner this year, it has been announced, will be supplemented by a cocktail hour, beginning at 7 p.m. The dinner will be served at 8 p.m.

Entertainment during the evening will feature vocal solos by Miss Eleanor Bailey, young Troy soprano.

The toastmaster for the evening will be James F. Connell, who will be presented by Everett J. Decker, president of the club. Mr. Connell is chairman of arrangements for the event. James H. Richards is chairman of ushers and James T. Whitehurst, sr, is chairman of the reception committee.

Mr. Barton, a native of Utah, is president of the Albany branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) and is an officer of many civic, fraternal and business organizations of the area.
