George T. Leach

• Ordained an elder on May 18, 1842 while living in Norwalk, Connecticut.

• Replaced Lucian R. Foster as presiding elder in New York in August 1843.

• Participated in conference held at Military Hall, April 3rd and 4th, 1844.

• Excommunicated October 26, 1844, apparently because he aligned himself with Sidney Rigdon.

• Joined James J. Strang by the fall of 1849.
