Brooklyn Eagle, 22 July 1890, page 4

The last item in the Political Points column of the day.

Recruits to Mormonism continue to arrive. A shipload of them were landed in Castle Garden yesterday, and after their names had been taken for possible future reference they were allowed to go upon their way. We have a law which is stringent enough to keep out ministers, and lecturers, and college professors, and musicians, but for these misguided Mormon perverts the doors stand wide open. The consistency of this arrangement is not apparent.-- Philadelphia North American.
