An article dated from Mineola, Long Island, covers the probate of the will of long-time Oceanside LDS Church member Smith Soper. The estate included real estate worth $9,000 and $2,000 of personal property. Daughter Susan A. Soper and son Jeremiah B. Soper were the executors and were heirs along with daughters Sarah J. Smith of Baldwins, Long Island and Clara E. Gerrard of Taylorsville, Utah.
