Young Hearing Postponed

Authorities Waiting for Result of Inquest and an Analysis.

The hearing in the case of William Hooper Young, held on suspicion of having murdered Mrs. Anna Pulitzer, whose mutilated body was found in New Jersey and who was killed in Young's flat in the Clarenbee, 103 West 58th St., Manhattan, was postponed this morning for one week. It was to have taken place before Magistrate Barlow in the Tombs court, Manhattan, but Assistant District Attorney Garvan, representing the prosecution, and William F. S. Hart, representing the prisoner, asked for the delay.

The object was that it is desired to have presented at the hearing the evidence that is obtained at the inquest into Mrs. Pulitzer's death. It is expected that the inquest will be concluded in Jersey City to-day. The authorities are also waiting for the analysis of the contents of Mrs. Pulitzer's stomach, which, it is believed, will show whether she was drugged or not.
